About the Role

Forget stock photos and distant corporate red tape. Based at our Wiri manufacturing site with flexible hybrid working, this role offers an exciting, hands-on playground for a creative marketer! As our Marketing Coordinator, you will bridge the gap between our thermoplastic engineering and the market, turning complex technical processes into compelling visual stories.

You’ll have direct access to our factory floor, cutting edge machinery, and passionate experts to capture authentic ‘behind the scenes’ content, execute multi-channel digital campaigns, and elevate our brand identity across LinkedIn, web, eDMs, and industry events. Working closely with our Product and Sales teams, you will have true creative autonomy to test new ideas, build digital strategies from the ground up, and directly influence APD’s growth across New Zealand’s construction, civil, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• High impact visual & technical content: capture authentic photo/video content on our manufacturing floor and turn dense engineering specifications into engaging visual assets, LinkedIn posts, website case studies, and sales enablement collateral
• Digital footprint & campaign management: manage our organic social media calendar, maintain and optimise our WordPress website (including AEO/SEO best practices), and execute targeted email marketing campaigns to our specifier and trade networks
• Brand custodianship & creative ownership: protect and evolve APD’s visual identity across all print, digital, and event touchpoints while directing external creative vendors (photographers, videographers, print partners)
• Lead administration & sales support: track marketing engagements in HubSpot CRM, support merchant networks, and design high converting collateral that equips our sales team to win key projects
• Tradeshows & industry events: plan and coordinate logistics, visual displays, and collateral for major industry trade exhibitions, presentations, and merchant events

What You Will Bring

• Creative vision & storytelling: a passion for content creation (video, design, and copy) with a knack for translating technical or complex B2B concepts into clear, engaging messaging
• Digital & channel savvy: hands on experience with social media strategy (particularly LinkedIn), WordPress CMS, email marketing platforms, and basic CRM lead tracking (HubSpot preferred)
• Self-starter autonomy: a dynamic, hands-on mindset – someone who enjoys stepping out onto the factory floor, collaborating directly with engineers, and bringing fresh ideas to execution
• Commercial & brand focus: strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail to keep campaigns on brand, on time, and aligned with business growth goals
• Relevant background: experience in B2B marketing, industrial/manufacturing, or construction sectors is a strong plus, alongside tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
