About the role

This diverse role will see you working as part of a close-knit team who fabricate, assemble and weld together tanks for chemical storage. Our team takes real pride in building high-quality and complex products, ranging in size from 200 litres up to 60,000 litres capacity. You will enjoy the technical challenges of working on unique products using your expertise with fabrication tools and equipment to meet our clients’ exact specifications.

While this role is mainly workshop based, this position does require travel to external job sites to assist with installation and assembly, therefore we are after a skilled fabricator with strong site work experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricating, assembling and welding together products based on supplied workshop drawings
• Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and job specifications to ensure accurate production
• Prepping joins for all sheet thickness
• Ensuring products are completed to standard
• Occasional offsite installations and assembly jobs

About you

Ideally, you have worked as a plastics fabricator with at least twelve months plastics welder fabrication experience. This is a physically challenging role where at times, working on larger chemical tanks means you are working at heights and in confined spaces. You will be handling an extrusion gun and other tools for extended periods of time, therefore being physically fit is imperative.

As our new plastics fabricator, you will be experienced working within a manufacturing environment and be confident in the preparation and welding of PE, PP and PVC along with the following

• The ability to read drawings and understand tolerances
• Strong knowledge of butt welding
• Be confident using an extrusion gun
• Attention to detail and the ability to successfully work to deadlines
• Strong understanding of site related safety systems and procedures (SSSP, JSEA, work permits …etc.)
