I am proud to have been part of APD’s huge change and growth since I came on board in 2010. Every year we develop innovative new products and our team continues to grow quickly to satisfy the demand for our award winning tanks. We will soon be rebuilding our offices to accommodate our increasing numbers and to create comfortable spaces for all our staff to enjoy their break time. We have big plans for our factory too, including some exciting new machinery. None of APD’s success would be possible without our talented people. Our team includes many different skills such as innovative Engineers who bring to life the solutions that the market need, Customer Service Representatives who ensure our customers keep coming back, and our skilled Fabricators who maintain our reputation for quality every time. Keeping our team happy continues to be a big focus and APD invest time and energy to ensure that our people want to keep working at APD. I am especially proud of the fact that so many of our new team members have been referred by existing staff. This is a reflection of our friendly and supportive environment, our company values, development opportunities, and the rewards and benefits we offer our people.
I started as a Customer Service Representative at APD in April 2022. The reason that pushed me to choose APD is it is a multi-cultural and an equal opportunities employer. The best thing I have enjoyed about this role is the culture at APD, as it is one of inclusiveness and caring for all staff. I have been trained very well since starting at APD. I fitted right into the role and culture easily and have had great help from both my manager and colleagues. I am enjoying the role very much.
After moving up to Auckland from Hamilton in June 2022, I started with APD as a Production Manager, Detention Tank Fabrication. It turned out to be a great decision. I love working at APD as the company encourages ideas and creativity within the team. Among the departments the teamwork is amazing with everyone working towards achieving the same goal in the company – to deliver the best water management solution to our customers.
I have been with APD for over 4 years now. I originally started as a Sales Administrator and worked on a temporary basis before being offered a permanent role in the finance team as an Accounts Receivable Administrator. I was promoted to Assistant Accountant in August last year which is a challenge I have really enjoyed. Everyone at APD is really friendly and always happy to help – even if you ask the same question more than once! I am grateful to APD for allowing me to have some flexibility in my start and finish times and I enjoy working in such a fun and friendly environment.
I joined APD in March 2022 and have really enjoyed the challenges and rewards of working as one of the Technical Sales Engineer. I enjoy the fact that at APD I can provide a practical solution to problems that often seem difficult to solve, and in doing so improve the lives of people and communities. After all, this has been my passion and main driving force in my career through the years. I also enjoy the sense of comradery and teamwork at APD, where each member of the team is valued and supported. It is refreshing to see the level of integrity and pride shown in all aspects of the business.
